Love The Bad Days

Everybody loves the good days, right?

Those days where it seems like everything went great and just your way.

Those days when the sun seemed to shine down on your face ever so perfectly and you could hear the birds chirping in the background.

Those days when nothing at all went wrong and you couldn’t think of a single thing to complain about.

I know; they’re great right?

We all love them, and I am not excluded from being in this category.

But how about the bad days?

How about those days when it seems like the universe hates you and every living and nonliving thing is out to get you?

How about those days when you just want to run and hide or hit reset?

Why don’t we love those just as much?

Well of course the obvious answer is; it’s because there bad; but just because they’re bad doesn’t mean that they should not be valued and appreciated just as much as a good day.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve learned way more from my bad days then my good ones.

You see, those bad days ignite the ingenuity within you in order to solve the problem and get you out of the unpleasant situation you’re in.  Does this ingenuity and problem solving always work?

No, but at the end of the day, you always make it through.

Personally, I know that I wouldn’t be the man I am today if it weren’t for those bad days.

It helped build a character and mindset within me that won’t allow anyone, or thing to defeat it.

If were being honest, does this mean that I am overly joyed during those bad days?

No.

Do I wish to have more of them?

Of course not; but I know at the end of the day, that when they come, they well not conquer me, and that they will not last forever.

So, no matter how bad of a day you may be having, just remember that that bad day is only occurring to assist in your growth, make you stronger and more importantly; there is always a fresh start in tomorrow.

Plus, would you appreciate those good days like you do if every day was great?

I think not.

So, in all, although it may be a bittersweet love, learn to love those bad days.

-Pieces Of A Man

“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”Maya Angelou
